Restoring the Balance

By Chris Burcin

I am fundraising for the Children's Hospital Foundation!

This term in Year 9 Religious Education, our class has been studying a unit called "Restoring the Balance" which includes researching poverty in our local community and around the world and other problems which cause some of us hardship and suffering. We have also looked for ways that we could work to address some of these issues and support charities that are already working to 'restore the balance'.

As an extension of this unit, 9RED is planning a combined bake sale and sausage sizzle on Wednesday 27 November to raise funds for the Children's Hospital Foundation which "funds cutting-edge equipment, vital research and on the ground support for kids with all illnesses, injuries and conditions".

The bake sale will be on 27 November and available only to students at St Monica's College. If you cannot attend the bake sale and would still like to donate to support their efforts, please give whatever you can using the 'donate' button.

The more people that know about the Children’s Hospital Foundation, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family.

Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!
