Donate now to make hospital feel more like home for sick kids.

Every year, sick kids and their families spend long periods at Queensland Children’s Hospital, often far from their homes and everything familiar. Your generous donation can make hospital feel more like home for sick kids.

This tax time, your tax-deductible donation can help fund groundbreaking research, innovative therapies and wrap-around care programs like a hospital library service, play spaces and toy drives, bringing comfort, distraction and a sense of home to sick Queensland kids.

Donate now to bring joy and comfort to a sick kid in hospital.

Evie keeps smiling and embracing life.

Four-week-old Evie was taken to what should have been a routine health screening when her family’s world was turned upside down. After her heel-prick test, Evie was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis.

Since then, Evie has spent long periods in hospital receiving treatment for serious lung infections, including daily physiotherapy, nebulisers and medication to help her breathe. For months at a time, Evie was more than 300km from home, away from friends, family and everything familiar, and during that time, hospital became the place they had to call home.

Spending so much time in hospital away from home is extremely difficult for the whole family. But every step of the way, Evie and her family are supported by the Children’s Hospital Foundation through wrap-around care like our Kidzone playroom, Paw Play support dogs and music therapy, helping ease anxiety and bring comfort, connection and moments of childhood back into hospital.
