What a day!

Thank you so much to each and every one of you who sent in a kind donation to support Sick Kids Giving Day!

If you missed the day or haven’t been able to donate yet … the Queensland Government will continue to generously double any donations made to the Children’s Hospital Foundation until 30 June.

Rusty

Rusty, the lovable and charismatic koala, has become an iconic figure as the official mascot of the Queensland Reds. With his infectious energy and undeniable swagger, Rusty has earned a special place in the hearts of fans across the state.

On game days at Suncorp Stadium, Rusty electrifies the team and brings the atmosphere to the crowd with his energy and spirit. When not at game days, Rusty visits local clubs to inspire the next generation of Rugby fans.

Rusty is set to compete at the upcoming Mascot Games, representing the Queensland Reds and raising valuable funds. Get behind your favourite koala as he looks to take home the crown!

Your support will make a difference!

Children’s Hospital Foundation exists for every kid that ever needs us. All illnesses, injuries and conditions – from the suburbs to the cities, rural, regional and remote.

Our Sick Kids Giving Day will raise funds to help advance world-class care, funding cutting-edge equipment, vital research and on the ground support for sick and injured kids.

Every donation on Sick Kids Giving Day, no matter how big or small, will be the difference every kid deserves.

Be the difference kids like Ash deserve.

Ash's story

Four-year-old Ash was on a family holiday in Tasmania when he started showing signs of being unwell. For the next month, fevers, severe fatigue and weight loss followed. In January 2022, Ash was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia.

From that moment, life became a blur. Since his diagnosis, Ash has undergone many lumbar punctures, blood and platelet transfusions and oral and IV chemotherapy treatments at Queensland Children’s Hospital.

A big thank you to our Supporters
