In Memory of Rose Jessica Dagan

Rosebud, our Magical Unicorn Baby

Our beautiful baby girl, Rose, was born on November 13, 2018. She gave us three weeks of love & joy before she grew her wings on December 3, 2018.

Rosie was unwell from birth & was a patient in three different hospitals on the day she was born: Greenslopes Private, Mater Mothers NICU & finally, QCH PICU. She received the most extraordinary care from the moment of her birth, care that went above and beyond the call of duty. We felt cared for in a way that is difficult to explain, and the genuine love that they showed for our Rosie touched us deeply & we will never be able to thank them enough.

Rosie was eventually diagnosed with a rare congenital lung condition that she could not recover from. She fought hard to stay with us & we were so blessed to have had the time with her that we did, all thanks to the incredible care she received from the moment she was born.

Rosie passed very peacefully, surrounded with so much love. We had a truly beautiful day with her & made some wonderful memories. She made us so proud with how bravely she fought from the moment she was born & how she defied her diagnosis at every step & even grew her wings in her time, on her terms.

We've created this page in memory of our strong, beautiful & brave baby daughter & sister. We have been personally touched by the work of the Children's Hospital Foundation, and would love to support them further. Money raised is used towards research & to help entertain sick children.

Before EverydayHero closed it's doors in November 2020, our previous memorial page for Rose had raised $10,300, a feat we are very proud of. And, because of the generosity of our family, friends, and some wonderful strangers, our darling girl's name is forever remembered on the branches of the Giving Tree, located on the wall of the QCH PICU Terrace.

We hope to continue to fundraise in Rosie's name through this page, so please spread the word by sharing it far & wide! Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means more to us than we can possibly express.
