Help make a wish come true this Christmas

This Christmas, children in hospital are not wishing for toys. These children are wishing to be home again with family, to cuddle their pets, to feel well again. Your fundraising efforts can help turn those wishes into hope.  

Almost 4,000 children will receive life-saving care at Queensland Children’s Hospital this December. That is about 130 unique wishes per day.

If you could make one wish this Christmas for sick Queensland kids, what would it be? A cure, to go home, to see their brother for one last time?

Your support of the Children's Hospital Foundation can help make a wish come true for kids in hospital. Together, we can provide activity kits, gift deliveries, food hampers and a photo with Santa to make Queensland Children's Hospital a place of joy and comfort this Christmas.

Make a difference for kids like Archer

From the outside, Archer was the picture of health – a fun and loving seven-year-old who enjoyed singing, playing video games and snuggling up with his family dog, Sadie. 

But Archer's life changed unexpectedly when severe bone pain left him unable to move and two swollen glands in his neck would not go away.

After initial tests revealed nothing, Archer was admitted to Queensland Children's Hospital, where his family received the devastating news – Archer was diagnosed with b-cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia.

Archer's treatment journey has been challenging. Over the past 15 months, he has endured chemotherapy, blood tranfusions, lumbar punctures, surgeries and procedures to treat lung and bone infections. But during long hospital stays, Children's Hospital Foundation's programs made hospital feel more like home.
