How do I track my kilometres?
If you would like to track your kilometres on this year's ride, we have linked up with Strava and Fitbit to automatically sync with your fundraising page and add to your kilometres when you record an activity.
If you’re not already connected with these devices, you can always use your Smartphone and download Strava or Fitbit to get started.
Once installed and your account has been created with your preferred app, login to your profile page and head to the 'My Fitness Activity' tab. Here you can now connect up to your preferred fitness app.
Click on the icon of the app you'd like to connect - this will ask you to login and authorise us to access your fitness account.
You're now connected!
When using your fitness app, remember to create a new activity through your app and stop when you're finished each time - this will ensure your kilometres are recorded onto your Bike 4 Burns page.
You can also manually add an activity through the 'My Fitness Activity' tab too.
Do I have to fundraise?
By registering, you are joining other emergency service colleagues and coming together to help change the the outcomes for kids with burns injuries. We encourage you to set a fundraising goal of no less than $500 to help ensure researchers and clinicians can trial revoluntionary new treatments and change the way kids are treated for burns across the state, and the country.
Fundraising can be as easy as sending a couple of emails or text messages to friends and family or by simply sharing your commitment and page on your social media.
All it takes is 10 people donating $50. Children's Hospital Foundation is here to support you and help you reach your fundraising goal. Please reach out to us at fundraise@childrens.org.au if you have any questions.

Log on to your fundraising page, click on "Get Support" and then share your page. You can also copy the link and send it through to friends, family and work collegues in an email. Good luck fundraising!
How can I update my fundraising goal?
Log into your account and edit your profile to update your fundraising target. You can increase this at any time!

How does my fundraising help kids with burns?
Last year, the Queensland Children’s Hospital treated more than 1,743 children for burns injuries. 260 of these children required surgery for their injuries.
Through your support of Bike 4 Burns in 2025, you can help the Children’s Hospital Foundation’s fund:
- Research – Research like identifying dressings that reduce pain and promote faster wound healing for kids with burns
- Equipment – Equipment like the Lumenis UltraPulse CO2 fractional laser to effectively ‘melt away’ old scar tissue and allow new skin to grow in its place
- On the ground support – Support and entertainment for children and their families like Bravery Beads that recognise the strength and courage that kids show each procedure or treatment in hospital.
Your support of Bike 4 Burns in 2025 can ensure researchers and clinicians can trial revolutionary new treatments and change the way kids are treated for burns across the state, and the country.
It is only with this generous support that kids with burns can have access to the best possible care and treatment available both today and into the future.
