1. Acceptance of Conditions
By creating a fundraising page through the CHF Community Hub, you accept these terms and conditions and agree to follow all CHF fundraising guidelines.
2. Authority to Fundraise
You must register your fundraising activity with CHF before you start raising funds.
CHF reviews your activity and provides written approval and a Letter of Authority to Fundraise when:
You submit a clear description of your activity.
The activity shows reasonable financial return after expenses.
The activity aligns with CHF values.
The activity does not carry unacceptable risk.
3. Role and Responsibility
You run your fundraising activity in your own name. You do not represent CHF.
You are responsible for planning, safety, insurance, permits, costs, and legal compliance.
You must comply with all relevant State and Federal legislation.
4. Financial Requirements
All fundraising must be self funded.
CHF does not cover costs, losses or cancellations.
You must keep accurate financial records, including expenses, income, and banking details.
You must send proceeds and a completed fundraising record form to CHF within four weeks of your activity ending.
Expenses must not exceed 30 percent of total income.
5. Receipting Rules
CHF can issue tax deductible receipts for monetary donations of 2 dollars or more.
Receipts cannot be issued for tickets, entry fees, sponsorship, raffle tickets, auction purchases or donated goods.
Donors who need receipts must be recorded on the Receipt Request Form.
6. Use of CHF Name and Logo
You must receive written approval from CHF before using the CHF name or logo.
All printed or digital materials using CHF branding require CHF review before release.
Your activity must not be promoted as a CHF event.
Approved phrases include:
Proudly supporting the Children’s Hospital Foundation
Funds raised will be donated to the Children’s Hospital Foundation
CHF key messages or logos must not be modified.
7. Media and Promotion
You may contact local media but you must not contact major media outlets without consulting CHF.
All media releases must be submitted to CHF for approval before issue.
CHF does not provide PR, publicity, celebrities or paid promotional support.
8. CHF Attendance
A CHF representative may attend your event if available.
A minimum of four weeks notice is required.
CHF can provide a novelty cheque for formal cheque presentations subject to availability.
9. Raffles, Permits and Legal Compliance
You must follow Queensland raffle rules and secure permits where required.
Outdoor events may need council permits.
Events selling alcohol must comply with Queensland Liquor Licensing requirements.
Door to door appeals, street collections and telephone solicitation are not allowed.
10. Public Liability
You are responsible for public liability and safety.
CHF does not provide insurance cover for your activity.
Check that your venue or supplier holds current public liability insurance.
11. Brand Protection
You must not run activities that could harm the CHF brand or reputation.
CHF may revoke your authority to fundraise if your activity does not meet these conditions.
12. Termination of Authority
CHF may terminate your authority to fundraise at any time, effective immediately, by written notice.
13. Cause Related Marketing
Sales promotions or commercial partnerships follow strict CHF assessment.
Companies must have at least 12 months of trading history.
Products must be established and not newly launched.
All CRM proposals require discussion with CHF and may be declined.
